Can StockTwits Guru’s be Trusted? This Alleged “Pro Trader” Hits Humans with his car While Drunk and Flee’s!

So this is kind of a funny story. I actually follow this guy on twitter ..aka robert sinn of robertsinn.com .Seems like a smart guy .. good trader. Has a following. And hes an endorsed StockTwits guru. Kind of the same thing as me as a profit.ly Guru So yah i figure this guys probably pretty successful right? But looks like he went off the deep end a bit just recently as he was caught in a hit and run and actually hit a human!

Now sure this doesnt mean this guy is a piece of shit or anything. Probably a cool guy. I myself may even be a borderline alcoholic party animal haha.. Im 27 years old so yah sure.. I was wasted all last weekend. Im sure we would get along great! But no i didnt step in a vehicle. Got my DUI when i was 18 years old and havent drank and drove since. been there done that. I feel bad for the guy.. But shit.. Everyone has to learn their lesson. I’ve had friends die because of drinking and driving and kill people because of driving drunk. Its not something that should be taken loosely whatsoever. Think about if he killed the guy he hit? his life would be over! The man he hit remains in critical condition.

Now again this doesn’t mean that this guy isn’t a successful trader and shouldn’t be taken seriously whatsoever. Same as with me drinking way too much, I’m a fairly successful trader and have earned my respect in the social trading world and have 100′s of happy FOUSALERT Subscribers who have been with me some as long as 6 years! I’ve been a big part of the online stock trading community since 2005. I actually built my reputation and based my business model off an old website where i won this stock contest HERE. I actually still have multiple members still with me today that met me back @ 3sof in 2005. I started Thetechnicaltrader.net in 2006 and launched Fousalerts.com just this year. So I’ve paid my dues. Ive been around for a while making stocks picks for years in the public eye.

But here’s the punch line. Here’s what makes me question this guys validity. This all took place while he was driving his… 2008 Chevy impala? what? thats like a car someone on minimum wage would drive? I just got rid of my Maserati Quattroporte and now am shopping for a Maserati Gran Turismo S.

And i’m searching for a car of this stature because yes I am successful in the stock market as i’ve made $320,000 since 2011 all verified @ profit.ly and I’m a profit.ly endorsed guru. 1 of 3 in the world. So it is required that all my trades are track through profit.ly’s database in real time. StockTwits does not require this for validity.

So.. let me ask you.. What do you think? Stocktwits Or profit.ly? who do you side with?

Or how About Maserati GranTurismo S vs Chevy Impala? Who would you rather take stock tips from?

    Excellent points. I’ve never personally followed stocktwits, but when you look at whole picture it’s common sense. Plus I was extremely cynical getting into the online trading world at first. But, I was first a (and still am) a Sykes follower, and am now starting with the fous 4 DVDs.

      yes thats true. Buffet stil lives in the same house he bought in 1950 or something.. But.. just stating the facts here.  99% of traders are eccentric. Or they dont have the money

    I have to agree with “kingko”.  Time Sykes is a tool.  I don’t know him personally but I’ve read a lot about him and seen him on Wall Street Warriors.  He wasn’t cool to his friend or his Mama in the show. I think his current “success” comes from slingin’ newsletters and getting affiliate dollars from whatever.

    The comparison between stock twits and profit.ly is kind of apples to oranges.

    Stock Twits which I read and contribute to often is not a great source for real and I mean “real” facts and technical analysis.  Not discounting it completely but there is a lot of noise or static to go through before you can really tune in to what’s really going  on.

    Profit.ly seems like the real deal because it’s not just static but verified results.  I use the free account and I’ve verified my trades with them.  I’m not praising them to much because as Fous mentioned he is …”a profit.ly endorsed guru. 1 of 3 in the world.”  I’m sure one of those is Tim Sykes and I’ve stated my opinion above.

    My take on what sets Fous apart from all of the above is the service he offers is more like a series of classes or workshops.  He outlines his strategy and why technically so that ultimately you can have similar and separate picks because you will have the skill to find them on your own.

    Obviously Fous is successful. And your right the car don’t make the man.  I drive a busted up Jetta, but it’s paid for and it works.  I’ve been lucky enough to just pay my bills the past two months and pay for a week in Jamaica with my wife from workin’ the stock market.

    I’m not a Fous subscriber yet but I have been researching him, using profit.ly, StockTwits, StocksToBuy and various other sites for a couple of months.  When I return from Jamaica and after I save up I am planning of subscribing to FousAlerts.  I really wish one of his monthly services included watching the Fous4 DVD.  It sucks you’d have to pay for that separately

    So to sum up.  I agree, don’t be a tool.  Car don’t make the man. I think Fous is legit.  I’m not a subscriber yet.  I’d like to see some cheaper stuff and or the Fous4 DVD included in a membership (like really included, don’t just add $150 to a plan).  I use profit.ly, it’s legit, it works.  I’ve made real money out of the market.  I don’t drive a Maserati, but as Biggie Smalls says “Condo paid for, no car payment.” Crowd sourcing your stock picks is like getting your medical advice from Facebook.  Look for real results, do your won due diligence, look for a real proven system not just noise.  Don’t just listen, LEARN.
     I haven’t bought yet but I think the profit.ly newsletters are the “hard sell” technique.  I think Fous is probably the most legit and worth it service they offer.

      appreciate the honesty brian. Your right. A car doesnt make a man. But you can tell a lot about a person by what kind of car they drive. Im not just a trader.. Sure i can trade by myself in a closet.. But i can also make money by teaching. My other job is to market myself to look successful. So that people sign up. Thus me make more money. And thats the truth. Why else would i spend my hard hours everyday on my website? There is money to be made in this business that im in. So obviously i strive to be successful and want to make as much money as possible.  And ive been doing this longer than most. (sharing my stock picks via website to the public via newletter service) longer than all the profit.ly and stocktwits gurus. And most newsletters that were around when i started when out of biz during the 2008 crisis. But have focused mostly on trading.. Thus my business side of things has been lackluster to say the least. 
      yah a lot of people hate tim. Because he brags about how successful he is. But people see that and are willing to pay to learn how he did it. And thats what this business is all about. Making us look good. Because we are good. got this way through trading. And we can teach you how. Why the hell you think im slapping a “FOUS4″ license plate on my next maserati? Not to brag and look like an asshole. Its called marketing. This is a business. And self promotion is the only road to success in this game.
